Featured Artists: Music Doing GoodMusic Doing Good is thrilled to celebrate 100 years of world-class music with the Houston Symphony, and we’re ecstatic to be included in the Day of Music Festival on July 13th. We applaud the Symphony for uniting the diverse population of Houston through a variety of musical genres! Music Doing Good believes in the importance of this concept, which is why we incorporate a diverse range of music in our concerts and programs. To us, music is like food. If you don’t like something, at least you’ve tried it and can move on to the next course! But exposure is always necessary. How would you know whether or not you like something if you haven’t tried it?
Music Doing Good inspires and transforms lives through innovative, music-based programming. Our concert events have included styles such as classical, jazz, singer/songwriter, opera, song standards and even musical theater. During Day of Music, singer/songwriters Ray Younkin and Tricia Fox will be singing folk/rock and original music at 1:30 p.m. at the front lobby stage. Later in the afternoon, executive director David LaDuca will join the legendary Conrad Johnson Orchestra on the main stage at 6:30 p.m. to perform Frank Sinatra’s iconic song, “My Way.”
We are honored to consider the Houston Symphony a partner as we create a world where we all live in concert!
